1. Who can join Choir?

Any 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade Elm Grove student can join choir!

2. When and where does choir meet? WE ARE NOT MEETING YET!​

Students are learning their music on their own at home and we are reviewing it in Music Classes during the school day!

3. How do I sign my student up for Elm Grove Choir?

• You already should have signed up on Revtrak

• If you missed the opportunity to sign up email Mrs. Adamson on hilary.adamson(at)hayscisd.net

 

4. Is there a limit to how many students that can participate?

• Yes, the first 150 students to join through Revtrak automatically get into choir. 

• We are allowing 190 this year due to the fact we haven't had choir in 2 years!

5. Is there a wait list if my student doesn't get in?

YES! Email Mrs. Adamson at hilary.adamson@hayscisd.net and let her know your student's name, grade level and homeroom teacher!  Mrs. Adamson will add him or her on the waitlist and as soon as a spot open's we will let you know!

6. Are all of the performances required?

Yes, all performances are required...they are student centered and created and a lot of fun! Of course if there is a family conflict or illness just let Mrs. Adamson know as soon as you can so she can plan ahead!

7. Are all of the rehearsals required? (Rehearsals are at home for now but still important that students learn music to have fun at performances)

For us to have the most fun at concerts, it is important that we all know our music! Yes, rehearsals are required, and we will keep attendance records to make sure everyone gets credit for their time! We will even give out attendance awards at the end of the year for those students who have rocked it!

8. What does the $20 Choir Fee pay for?

Choir t-shirts for each student, sheet music, and accompaniment tracks

9. Who is teaching Choir?

Mrs. Adamson!

10.  What type of music will we be performing?

All kinds! Pop, rock, folk, classical and even songs in foreign languages!
